Brian Hubbard, Master Printer has been a Hot-Metal Typecaster for the past 45 years. Trained as a Monotype Keyboard/Caster/Super Caster mechanic, after serving an eight year apprenticeship in Print, attending Technical Colleges and Schools of Printing as well as receiving further training by "Monotype" in the maintenance, rebuilding and repairing of moulds in the Mould Room at Salfords.

A large range of Letterpress Type is available "Off-the-Shelf" for immediate despatch to customers requiring type for Hot Foil Blocking and Letterpress Printing.

Brian is a fully qualified Monotype Instructor with many years experience teaching how to operate Keyboard/Caster/Super Caster and instructs pupils on a one-to-one bases only. Instruction is given on the routine maintenance of all Monotype machines, as well as showing the students how to dismantle, clean and completely reassemble the range of Moulds that Monotype manufactured.
